Wizard of Oz wall hanging

I made the cute little wall hanging in less than 30 minutes. I used a block of wood (from our fence building for the last two weeks). I painted it with black and then dry brushed on some antique gold paint. I the fussy cut the second piece of the patterned paper and used foam squares to pop it up. I used several different layers. The tallest one is 3 layers. Don't forget to leave a comment and let me know what you think.

Teresa Collins Travel Mini Album

My sister, brother-in-law and I are going to Las Vegas in February/March.  The trip time depends on when the sales go on.  As an weird twist of fate, I was checking out the Daily Deal over at the Peachy Cheap website (http://www.peachycheap.com/), and this Teresa Collins Travel Ledger Paper pack came up.  It came with 2 sheets each of the patterened paper as well as die cuts and envelope pockets.  There was also a stamp set that came with the Collection.  I didn't use the stamp set as much, but I love how I didn't over power the album with too many items.  The pages have enough to stand alone with out too much clutter.

The album was suppose to be 4x8 but some of the chipboard pieces had to be trimmed down as they weren't all the same size.  It turned out to be a really nice size.

My camera was running out of battery power, so I had to rush through the last part of the mini album.  I hope you enjoy the video and I hope it inspires you to create something special.

I'M BACK

I know I haven't posted anything in over a year.  But I have a very good reason.  I was sick for over 1 year.  It was horrible and I was in excruciating pain 24/7.  It took me forever to get into a specialist.  Once I did see him, I had to wait yet again for my exploratory surgery (because they didn't know what was wrong with me.)  I came out of the surgery at the end of May 2011 and for the first time in a long time, I felt good.  Not great, but good.

As each day went on, I was feeling better and better.  I then decided about 3 weeks ago that it was time to stop taking the pain killers.  It proved to be a little challenging, as I was taking them for over a year, it turned out I was a little dependant on them.  After a couple of rough days, I managed to get past the addiction to take them.  I went through a couple weeks of my body going through detox.  I am happy to report that I haven't had a pill since that last day I decided that was enough.

I haven't been doing much of scrapbooking or much of anything, (up until this week,) because it turns out that after 1 year of being sick, it took a toll on the up keep of my house.  Now that I have most of the disaster looked after I am now able to get back to my crafting.  I can't believe how much I missed it.  I didn't know where to start when I came back down to my craft room.

I have missed talking to everyone and I have missed sharing all of my project.  I hope everyone one is well and I hope to hear from you soon.
